Each Junior Ranger receives a welcome pack including an embroidered badge, certificate, activity booklet, and colouring sheets to help them explore, learn, and protect — both at the Sanctuary and in their own backyards. Members also enjoy unlimited entry to the Sanctuary across the year, priority access to Junior Ranger adventure activities, and a quarterly newsletter, The Waimārama Chronicles, featuring stories, challenges, and conservation tips.

Open to tamariki aged 5+, the Junior Ranger Program encourages hands-on learning and outdoor exploration through activities, challenges, and events that build understanding and respect for Aotearoa’s native wildlife and forests.
Membership costs $24 per year, with discounts available for families with multiple children, and can also be purchased as a gift — a fun and meaningful way to support youth conservation.
