SANCTUARY EVENTS
During the year the Sanctuary holds a number of special events; each year we hold two open days, generally held in April and October. During the winter months, generally from June to September we offer glowworm tours which have proven to be extremely popular over the last two years. We also run a number of pop-up events throughout the year, so keep an eye on this page (and our Facebook page) for the latest information!
If you, or your organisation, are planning a ‘special event’ – get in touch to discuss holding your event in the Sanctuary. (The Sanctuary has previously hosted corporate events, weddings, remembrance services/gatherings (note, scattering of ashes in the Sanctuary is not permitted). Contact:

Beech Glade Sessions
Join us in the Beech Glade for a session with Blenheim-based artist Jocee Tuck, 3pm, Saturday 16th December.
Introducing the first of our Beech Glade Sessions for the 2023-2024 season!
The Beech Glade Sessions are a new offering that will run over the summer months, featuring a variety of performances ranging from music to poetry. Located an easy 15-minute stroll from the Visitor Centre, the Beech Glade Classroom is a magical place to experience special events at the Sanctuary.
We are excited to welcome Blenheim-based artist Jocee Tuck, who is not one to shy away from the unconventional, choosing to make her instrument of choice the vibraphone. It wasn’t until studying contemporary music at university and playing with space-pop songstress Princess Chelsea that Jocee was introduced to tuned percussion; Jocee quickly developing a passion for wooden and bell mallet instruments, which she incorporates into her orchestral indie-folk solo material. After wowing the audience at the APRA Silver Scroll Awards 2016, with her heartfelt rendition of Tammy Neilson’s ode to her late father, ‘The First Man’, Jocee moved to the country with her family and became a mother for a second time. She’s now re-emerged bursting with enthusiasm and living in Marlborough!
